Updating your password to something private is a good idea!
Make sure to adhere to the password recommendations below to maintain the most important level of security around your blog!
First thing you need to do is log in to your WordPress website. You will do this by going to http://yoursite.com/wp-admin/.
Once you are logged into your dashboard, scroll down and click on USERS > ALL USERS:,
Then hover over your username and click on the EDIT link directly below.
Now scroll down the page until you see the button to “Generate Password.”
A new password will be displayed that you can use, or you can highlight it and change it to whatever you want.
Here are recommendations for creating a password of your own that satisfy the level of security needed to keep out most hackers and Internet bots:
Update your admin account’s password to 8+ digits. The best passwords use upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters (&^%$#*, etc.).
If you forgot or lost your password, click the “Lost your password?” button on the screen at http://yoursite.com/wp-admin/ (where yourdomain.com is the actual address to your blog).
